In order for every student to be protected from communicable disease and to be able to participate in the school programs, The Texas Department of State Health Services has established minimum immunization requirements.  All new and returning students admitted to a Catholic School in the State of Texas are required to furnish a copy of their most recent updated immunization record to the school office before they may enter school on the first day. All immunizations must be up to date by the 1st day of school. Download an immunization checklist here.

Incoming 7th graders must abide by revised immunization requirements that take effect at the beginning of the school year. The following are the changes being implemented:

  • Booster dose of tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis containing vaccine for entry into 7th grade, if at least 5 years has passed since the last dose of a tetanus-containing vaccine.  (or when 5 years from last dose has passed)
  • Meningococcal vaccine – 1 dose for entry into 7th grade
  • Varicella Vaccine – 2 doses of varicella vaccine received on or after the 1st birthday for entry into 7th grade
  • For school requirements go to click “school/childcare requirements”

If applying to grades 1-8, the placement test is one tool used in determining acceptance. The Principal will make the decision if testing is needed.  If deemed necessary, scheduling for placement testing will be done at the time your paperwork is submitted. There is a $50.00 non-refundable fee for testing. This fee is payable, in cash, when you register for your child’s testing date.
